Sometimes you live without something for years and years without even missing it – just to suddenly realise that you need this exact thing in your life right now. Sounds theatric, but happens to the most basic and boring items, like a between-season jacket. As far as I can remember, I have always owned heavier and lighter coats, but not a single jacket. Of course there is always my boyfriend from whom I can steal stuff, but obviously that’s not the same as owning that one single jacket you can rely on each and every day.
Really liking the bomber jacket and patches trends that have been going on for a while now, I have recently bought this wonderful MA-1 bomber jacket with NASA patches. I really love how it is classic in cut and colour, yet unique. People ask where it’s from a lot, and I love to tell them that it’s made from overstock material, using way less resources than new clothing and preventing the clothes from being thrown away.
