A little while ago, I have stumbled upon something on Instagram and have instantly fallen in love: Bellutti Bags.
For decades, the Bellutti family from Austria has been making plastic canvases and technical textiles for all kinds of purposes – always with little scraps here and there (and “a little” can amount to “a massive pile” sooner than you’ll imagine when you’re producing one million square meters of canvas per year). These scraps were way too valuable to just be thrown away, so the producer’s daughter Verena Bellutti, fashion graduate with a heart for upcycling, dreamed up her on bag label in 2014. Since then, the bags have been a great success, offering modern an minimalist designs made from upcycled PVC coated polyester. Bellutti Bags are produced in the EU under fair circumstances and given their sturdy material, they manage to keep your stuff safe from outer influences while you carry them around in style.
From classic flap bags and envelope clutches to bucket bags and weekenders, Bellutti offers (almost) everything your fashionista heart desires this season. My personal favourite is the “Kekona Mini Pouch Bag” – and which one is yours?
