Several fashion mags are trying to tell us otherwise, but honestly I don’t think that a good dose of minimalism will disappear from the fashion scene anytime soon. It’s obvious that we need to really dress up from time to time and infuse our day-to-day looks with stand-out accessories, but every wardrobe needs the right basics. Especially, when you are trying to build a lasting, sustainable wardrobe.
This is where sustainable German fashion label Jan ‘n June comes in: The Hamburg based design duo create beautiful an minimalistic basics with a strong eye for detail. Even though their collections are made from sustainable and eco fabrics, their collections are never bland or boring (because #BLCKISTHENEWGRN). Thus, you will definitely want to wear their clothes for more than one season. Plus: Everything sold by Jan ‘n June is made in a family run factory in Poland – see all the certificates and production standards here.
What I personally like a lot – and what you will like too – is the price point: With all standards and fair production taken into account, Jan ‘n June is one of the most affordable sustainable fashion labels to date. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to shop at their online store yet (because you don’t always need what you really want…), but some of their pieces are already on top of my wish list!
Celebrating the new fall collection, there is also a Jan ‘n June fashion film featuring Julia Koch (Germany’s sexiest vegan 2015 and EIC of Vegan Good Life Magazine) – watch it here:
