Beautiful, colourful patterns, colour clashes and straight silhouettes make a great pairing in Saloni Lodha’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Taking influences from the Silk Road and the city of Samarkand, the Indian-born designer based in London showed a harmonic collection of feminine and youthful as well as straight-forward designs. Bright hues of red, blue and jade dominated the lively prints, while yellow, peach and navy served as their solid counterparts, effortlessly dressing the modern city girl.
Personally, I totally fell for the prints in this collection. Among my favourite designs are a triangular patterned jumpsuit with a perfectly effortless vibe (the kind of item that doesn’t even need accessorizing) and a flowy, floor length dress with a crisp white shirt collar; although I wouldn’t say no to the bomber and high-waist shorts combo either! ;)
