I will always be enchanted by everything with a flower theme reminiscent of fairies.
Just like the last seasons, Giambattista Valli is one of my highlights of spring 2013 couture fashion week. I love Valli’s defined and exaggerated silhouettes and even though I’m not usually one who likes animal print, there’s no denying that the placement on these dresses makes it appear quite sophisticated. Valli integrated it perfectly with all the feminine cuts and appearances. And just take a look at the three-dimensional flower embroidery – my heart skipped a beat with excitement when I first saw it!
Excitement aside – once again I was captivated by Luigi Scialanga’s jewellery with beautiful flower and leaf detailing that looked stunning and complimented floral lace, flowy chiffon, even shiny crocodile print and added just a touch of strength to the feminine ensembles.
Don’t worry, I won’t bore you with stories about how much I love Giambattista Valli again – just enjoy the pictures and be sure to check out the rest of the collection, too. There are so many more stunning designs in this collection – collections like these remind me why I studied fashion design in the first place: it’s an art form.
